FAQ
Why soy wax?
- Burning soy does not produce toxic smoke which makes it safe for indoors
- Soy is 100% natural and sustainable
- Made in the U.S.A
- Burns 50% longer than paraffin wax!
How do I care for my handmade candle?
- When lighting your candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt all the way to the sides of the container. This usually takes 1-3 hours. Failure to do this may result in "tunneling" which can shorten the life of your candle
- The wick needs to be trimmed regularly. Trim your wick to about 1/4" before you relight your candle. Your candle will burn cleaner, minimizing soot, sparks, and last longer
- Sometimes you may see "mushrooming" at the wick. If this happens trim the wick (to 1/4" as you should!) for same reasons mentioned above
- Always place lit candles on a sturdy and even surface, away from drafts and objects that may catch fire
- Never leave a lit candle unattended. Keep away from small children and pets.
